People often ask, why the name TED?
Well, many years ago a teenage budding Legionella Consultant was working on a site with a large group of engineers on a project in Sandy, Bedfordshire. The job was to manage the water systems on the site, maintain the cooling towers, water treatment and the job needed doing professionally and as is often the case, quickly.
The site manager could not remember any names of the team and gave everyone the nickname Ted.
The team took this on calling each other Ted, soon enough also into their personal lives. Friends nicknamed each other Ted and soon enough it spread far and wide.
I am proud to name our Company, TED Compliance Ltd and anyone who knows me, knows the origins of the company name and how much it means to me.
I literally stake my legacy and nickname on it.
